Arindo Rueda Verdejo
Oh, what a week! We’re
in the middle of summer camp at my “day job.”
We expanded this year to add 25% more camps. That was a great idea in the middle of
February. Now my aching body and the
continued lack of sleep is assuring me it wasn’t.
Yesterday was extra fun.
The day started with camp early in the morning and ended after 11pm and
a day long fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association.
I love every minute of it.
It’s a great job and I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
After the fundraiser was over, the team of volunteers
imbibed in some “adult beverages,” one of them being this bottle of wine. I’d specifically picked out the Spanish wine
to give honor to one of the evenings performers, a guitarist originally from
Spain.
I will also preface this blog with this: I drank this out of
a red solo cup. There were blue cups,
too, but the red one seemed more appropriate.
Maybe it was the end of a long day.
Maybe it’s just a really good wine.
Either way, I loved it.
It was sweeter than I expected at first taste, an almost
sweet and sour grape flavor. Then lots
and lots of citrus. Mostly orange with a
touch of grapefruit.
It went over well with my volunteers, too, only one small
bit myself and then it was all gone.
For $10, you should buy two!
