Prophecy Pinot Grigio

A while back I blogged on Prophecy Pinot Noir.  It was a good wine out of California was a neat label.  I’m still running a little ragged this week (being out of town for a week due to a funeral, followed immediately by a week of teaching an all day camp will do that to you).  I stopped at the local grocery store to pick up a wine for this blog and found a big display of the Prophecy Pinot Grigo.

Bingo!  I buy my bottle and head home to write this blog and then pass out.

I have three more weeks of summer camp this year.  My prophetic vision sees a lot of missed sleep.

The nose is very typical Pinot Grigo.  Nothing spectacular and nothing that really stands out.  Some fruits, mostly citrus.  Lemon and lime.  Subtle.

The taste is nice.  There’s a hint of mineral, it’s crisp and refreshing.  Very light.

This one it going to be good for sitting on the back deck during the lazy, hot days of summer.

Now if only I can find the perfect wine to go with summer camp, crafts, teaching teenagers, and lack of sleep.
