The weather might be getting cooler, but I still like a
glass of white wine now and again. This
one is easy to find. I picked it up at Kroger. You can also get it at Total Wines, Publix,
and at Wine.com. It’s affordable, about
$13 per bottle, and works nicely for a porch sipper – even on the cooler days.
This is a traditional New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with lots
of citrus. Grapefruit and Lemon Curd are
the first flavor that hit you, they’re also the ones that linger after the
finish. Under those flavors, you can get
a little green apple and minerality.
What a wonderful Sauv Blanc for the price. It’s zesty to drink, it really doesn’t need
food, and enjoyable. If you’re looking
for a good budget white, this one fits the bill.
