This is a really fun Brut for this time of year. You should
grab a bottle of this if you can find it and serve it at your Christmas Eve
festivities. It’s produced in Galilee, making it the perfect sparkling option
for Christmas.
I have a secret love for wines from the Middle East. I geek
out over wine from Lebanon or Israel. (Both of which I currently have on my
wine shelf.) The flavors are always nice, a bit unique, and well balanced. Some
of the reds are heavier with a chocolate overtone.
This bottle is made in the traditional method of champagne.
It is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, making it very dry with
flavors of apple, pear, lemon, and a hint of yeast. It’s exactly what you need
to serve as nighttime falls on Christmas Eve, after church is over, when you’re
winding down with heavy appetizers and a fire at the hearth.
